On the way home my driving lights blew out again. Its every time i hit a bad bump in the road and something must hit the right way and it pops a fuse. So my dash, front driving light, and rear driving lights blow out.

I narrowed down the problem to my front passenger parking lamp. If i attempt to install a new fuse. It will blow. So i have to take my parking lamp off. remove that one bulb. then re-install again. and it wont blow.

Its very touchy though, if i "drop" the socket with bulb lit up. It will flicker on and off. And sometimes stay off. But the wiring is fine. I can wiggle the wires like crazy going into the socket.

Could this be a bad socket? Or do i need some Di-Electric Grease in these? Since i stripped them bare of all of the grease in them.

And also it was pouring this morning, could that affect it?

Hmm, you defintley have a short there.

Die electric grease or vaseline is ALWAYS a good idead on bulbs.

I would get another new or used socket and splice it in.

Good luck, electrical gremlins can be a P I T A !!

maybe, you have a naked wire somewhere around your parking lamp. it seems like everytime you hit a bump the wire probably touches bare metal (negative power) and your lights blow out.

Some common things are shorted wires just behind the turn signal sockets to the body, pull back the conduit to expose the wires and look for any bear wires( use a bright flash light while moveing the wires around it will pick up the bare cooper better) and the other is a shorted out bulb itself. I would try bulbs first if the wires are good like you said. There is a saying in the automotive field "Keep It Simple Stupid". It means don't overlook the simple things. New parts do not mean that they are free from failure, if this were the case I would be out of a job.
