Just bought a 2021 Chevy Tahoe LT last night. All was well until we got home and turned the ignition off…both passenger doors would not open from the outside. Unlock the doors through the key FOB or the doors, doors would not open. If you pull the door handle from the inside one time, then you could open the door from the outside. Changed all the lock settings through the Infotainment system, same result. I can hear the actuators working when I lock the doors, but nothing when I unlock. I did a factory reset through the Infotainment system. I disconnected the battery for a while in hopes of resetting something.

The doors lock, so I feel like it’s not a fuse or relay issue. It seems like it’s a setting that I’m missing?

I am pretty discouraged as this was for the wife and it feels like I just bought a two door SUV. I am hoping there is a simple fix y’all can give me and I’m just missing something easy!!!

Try hitting the unlock button twice on the remote. There is a setting for door unlock it's probably set to drivers door only for a single press on the remote button.

I’ve tried that, as well as changed the setting. Even so, shouldn’t the rear doors unlock if I press the unlock button on the driver’s door (that doesn’t work, the rear passenger door actuators do nothing)?

Need 2x press on key fob to unlock all doors, see this from owners manual:

Keyless Access works slightly differently, here is the description if its operation from the owners manual:

And here is the description of how to change the vehicle personalization from the infotainment to have it unlock all doors or only the door being pressed on the first click. Note, I think you need to do the following if you want all doors to unlock on any of the door lock button presses:
Enter Settings -> Vehicle -> Remote Lock, Unlock, and Start -> Passive Door Unlock
Then select "All Doors"

Appreciate it, but I’ve run through the manual and changed all of the settings. I’m currently at the dealership waiting, and they are confused as well. We will see, I’ll update the post if/when they determine the issue.

Is it possible the child-guard door locks are engaged for the two rear passenger doors, preventing them from opening from the outside (although the feature is supposed to disable the inside-opening feature)?

I tried that, no luck. Made it really complicated to open the door with the child locks on. I had to pull the inside handle and pull the outside handle to open the door.
