So I have an intermittent airbag light. Seems it's in the seat, for sometimes when I move the seat it goes out. Then it comes back. Lately it has been steady. How do I remedy this? I can't find a YouTube video and not sure what to do to get the problem solved.20160709_104104.jpg

generally when it comes to SRS components, manufacturer will just say to replace and that any cutting or splicing into Srs components is a no. That being said, you may have a bad connection, you can try and see if you have any pinched wires. Sometimes something will get caught under the seat and when its moved can stretch or yank wires.

I fiddled around under the seat at the connection and the wiring going under the carpet.. it didn't help. So I pushed in the seat around the air bag in the side of the seatback... I could see the connector but couldn't reach it. It seems the seat cover needs to be removed to access it. After letting off, I noticed the light went out. It must be the connection inside the seat. I just don't know how to get to it without damaging it.

The seat cover is removable, I replaced my front bottom leather. There are YouTube videos. I believe www.theseatshop.com has videos. You have to remove the seat from the truck but it's not that bad.

I checked them out.. they show the seat bottom but not the seat back. The problem is in the seat back. I got the light out for now. Hopefully it stays out long enough to unload it. I hate to sell it but if I get this new job, it's time for something more economical and worry free.

Here's the videos for the seat back. It looks pretty hard though so hopefully you won't have to do it. However if it's the connector, that should be accessible without removing the cover. If that light comes back, it might be hard to sell without fixing it.
