Alright all you genius-type people, I need some help figuring this out. My passenger-side outside mirror no longer works, at least the adjusting part. The lights and turn signal and folding all work. I'm thinking the little motor died, but I'd like to hear ideas first.

First diagnostic thought I had was checking the fuse, but I can't find a labeled fuse for this. Anyone know which one it might be? As far as I know, everything else is functional on the truck unless it's something I wouldn't notice not working.

I'd be going through ALL the fuses in the truck, everytime I have an electrical problem where something doesn't work that's the first thing I do!! GM has so many circuits that piggy back off of others and they are not labeled!! Otherwise I'd get a voltmeter out and get to the harness plug for that mirror and start checking voltage before I'd buy a new mirror!!

Yeah, I'm a little short on time and there's about a million fuses in the Denali I was hoping I wouldn't have to do the "one at a time" thing....lol.

Voltmeter at mirror is probably faster. Now I just need one voltmeter cause mine magically disappeared about the same time my step-son moved out....

Bad X and Y motor, or strip plastic gear tooth.
(Pop the mirror off with a screwdriver and take a look.)

Thanks Mac. I'll take a look when I get a chance. Do you mean pop the whole mirror assembly off or literally just the mirror? I've never messed with these in any way before.
