2002 Tahoe LT - okay this is my first time having to ever deal with this issue in any car I have owned, window does not move- Do I just need the motor or should I get the entire kit. I plan on using one of the site vendors. (wife asked I get this done so she can ride comfortably lol)

As usual thanks for the help

First, I’d look to see if the window lock was on. If that’s off, check to see if passenger side switch works. If your sure it’s motor related, I’d get the motor and regulator together so you don’t have to fuss with it when installing. I did this when I was having issue with rear passenger side. Hope this helps!

Having same issue, rock Auto recommends replacing the lift plate as well when doing the regulator.
Is that a necessity?

So, the window will not move no matter which switch is used? The master switch at driver's door or the passenger door switch? In that case, it is likely the motor but not 100% and that is strange because when motor goes it is usually at the worst time with the window down and stuck there. I am assuming it worked fine the last time used. Check you tube for inspection and replacement.

I would also recommend that you join ALLDATAdiy.com for on year at a time and get the diagnostic steps, wiring diagrams and replacement steps, just like dealer and independent shops do.

it's probably good insurance to just replace the whole regulator due to age, but could check first to see if it is a fuse, refer to the owners manual for specific window fuses if you do not have the owners manual you can view it online for free by simply googling "2002 tahoe online owners manual" and it will be on the gm website.

It says “recommended”, not “necessary”. TBH, I didn’t change mine, just the motor/regulator. Worked out for me, but your case may be different?
