After sitting in my driveway for several months, I went to fire up the Yukon and it would not start. I tried everything. Towed it to a mechanic and after a $95 diagnosis, he called and said my "Passlock control module" needs to be replaced and wants $600 for the job.

I've looked everywhere online to try and check the prices for one of these to make sure he not overcharging me, but I don't see these Passlocks on online.

Does $600 installed sound about right? Can you buy a Passlock control module online?

I do not have any aftermarket electronic items on my vehicle.

Thanks for your response.

Is the battery fully charged? Have your tried jumping the battery with another vehicle? Also, try unhooking the battery in the truck for a few hours and then rehook it up and try starting the truck?

Have you had problems like that prior to it sitting?
