Not sure what folks here think about "patina"?

A.) don't mind it?
B.) like it?
C.) it's for the guys that's can't do body work?
D.) don't care, my truck is too new.

All of the above? LoL

Anyways, I watch this guy that does LS swaps on old vehicles and was kinda blown away to watch him put Cajun seasoning (among other things) on this patina blend! LMAO. In his defense, he was trying to create something that matched the rest of the vehicle.

Enjoy

I saw a new-ish truck on FBMP that had a new "patina" paintjob. SMH I forgot to save that, but was pretty pathetic looking, in my opinion.

It’s ok on a vehicle old enough to have accumulated the rust and paint fade in patina. I think it looks silly on any other rig or when they put 7 coats of clear to make it shiny. I’ve never seen shiny rust. Hopefully the one you saw was a wrap that can be removed.

My rule of thumb is if the vehicle has “metal bumpers” then patina can look cool on it. fake patina is lame though.

My silverado is developing a subtle patina in a straight line section about ~24 inches on top of the quarter panel/bed from damage from a storm almost 15 years ago. No body damage. Looks kinda cool, though in a way a weird contrast to how clean the rest of the truck is imo.
