Penzoil Platinum(PP)or Ultra(PU) in 5w30 or 10w30 oil in there 2000-04 5.3L

Who uses Penzoil Platinum(PP)or Ultra(PU) in 5w30 or 10w30 oil in there 2000-04 5.3L chevy or yukon tahoe or suburban?

I am wanting to try it but not sure which to give a try. I have not yet tried synthetic oil but these two I read a lot about and i am really interested in them. I also read about valvoline syn power synthetic oil that is very well liked. I figured I would buy a purolator oil filter and one of these two oils for my next oil change.

advance auto is running a special now...you can get 5 quarts of synthetic + filter for around $25 bucks.

i did the mobil 1 synthetic deal: 5 quarts + filter for 28 bucks...sucks to pay another 7 bucks for 1 more quart needed to do the oil change but still a great deal

DO NOT USE PENZOIL! My dad has a GM Car Dealership, and some vehicles that have ran penzoil have sludge so bad. Its terrible, use mobile 1 or Castrol!
