Hello to all! I am new here and figured this would be the best place to get the info that I am looking for.
First off I would like to say thank you for your help.
I am very ignorant when it comes to engines, tranny, and rear. I was not gifted in this area. I will have this done at a local performance shop. I have not went to them for advice yet I am still researching this. I want to get as much info as I can before I go.
I have a 06' Yukon with a stock 5.3l. I do have Flowmaster and a K&N Filter that were installed by the previous owner. It does not have a tune.
My thoughts are to upgrade the cam, headers, Cold Air intake, SC, Shift Kit, trans cooler, a custom tune. What gains could I expect to see?
I believe the trans is a 4L60E.
The rear is 3.73.
This vehicle will not be a DD once the mods are done.
What cam, header, cold air, would you folks recommend if it were your project?
Is the cooler and shift kit enough for the tranny or do I need to go in a different direction with the transmission?
Also, what direction would you all go?
Thank You
