Looking to do an oil change after 3k and thinking of trying out oem filter this time.

Previously put FRAM TG10060, it’s much larger than the PF48E I received.
Wanted to test if pressure changes with smaller oem filter.

Attaching pic of the one I received.
Was wondering if anyone has ran a similar one and how are they handling up?

A little concerned that Rockauto listed PF48e has a different code.

By larger Fram, do you mean longer? Where did you get the filter from? Your wording seems to indicate that the filter is from a different source. At RA it lists the PF48E and the PF48 that you have. The 8 digit GM numbers that RA show does not match what is on the box you show. The box looks beat up as well, like it has been sitting on a shelf for a long time.
I punched in the 8 digits from the box, at RA cross reference and it does not come up. I would be leery, unless someone else here can explain better.

Amazon, part number comes up at various official dealers, gm stores and summitracing.

It seems to be a replacement for previous codes listed on Rockauto.
Edit: According to various online stores at dealers, it replaces code that comes up on RA for PF48e filter

Several of us here have switched to the longer Wix 57045 filter for these engines. Amazon will try to tell you that it's not compatible, but it absolutely is. I've been running it for a few years now and the oil pressure remains where it should be and I like the additional square inches of filter media.

Will try the original this time and might switch to wix at next oil change to test it out
