I got mine today.

They got the wiring backwards IMO. Is the main control box waterproof?

The damn cable coming off of the camera isn't long enough to get it inside the cab.

Got mine installed.

Had to get some pics for my bros. Sorry for the ****** quality, but it was getting dark.

It's a bit hard to see from the side because of the LCD glare, but for $30 I can't complain. Good replacement for that useless storage hole.

IMO, the actual camera mounted on the license plate looks dorky. I'll have to figure out somewhere else to mount it where it's not so obvious.

I agree. It does seem backwards, especially since you have to run the power all the way up front if you want to use anything other then the reverse lights for power. And the control box cord is too short, as well, but at least it fits under the rear floor if you pop it up.

Not that any of us should complain for $30.

Got my second tracking number already. Should have the replacement for the defective one soon, maybe by this weekend.

I ran all the wires as if I was going to just splice into my head unit's power wire. Then I realized that I actually had the wires in backwards. :emotions122:

For now, I just spliced the power wire into my amp's remote turn-on wire and grounded the camera to the chassis. I'm going to come up with something better later.

The only thing I can come up with is that they had intended the camera to only be wired into the reverse light system. That would explain why the ground and power wire are located at the rear of the car.

I'm wondering if the control box is waterproof as well. If it is, I'll just run the ****** under the car.

I thought about running it under the car, too, then drill a hole up somewhere underneath in a more convenient spot, but then I'd worry about water getting in since I live in a moderately wet area. It'll work ok under the floor, just a minor pain in the butt to hide all the wires. Actually, for those of you planning on running up to the front with the power cord, you'll probably need some extra wire since mine wasn't long enough. It barely reached the front running it right up the middle of the car, let alone hiding it around door sills.
