It looks great! It'd look even better if you removed the running boards.

I'm having the same minor electrical stuff going out on my fully loaded '00 Tahoe. Its bound to happen and while I drool over the thought of a new one, I share the same view as you. Definitely would rather spend a few dollars and a few hours over having a heavy monthly payment.
