I have researched and i know about HID's and housings but this is what ive got
Im going with DDM for the HIDs 5000k or 6000k and im looking for suggestions on what to house them in. I bought halogen projectors that fogged up so im gonna replace those. I know most people recommend TYC reflectors but im not big on the bright chrome, Im trying to keep everything dark on the blacked out truck.
I was wondering if anybody knows if there is a quality smoked hid reflector. (clear housing, smoked reflector) this is what im looking at right now- theres a company thats selling them w/hid's so i figure they can be used with DDM kit

dont buy ebay headlights like that as they will prolly fog up again like you previously experienced. another option would be to smoke out the tyc headlights yourself. just bake the headlights in the oven to remove the front cover then use a tinting paint to smoke out the reflectors. similar concept when people smoke out their tails.

thanks for the reply. i decided to steer away from that projector although i've seen the same ones on retailers sites- im just not sure how the projector would work with those hid's. I decided to go with these in the link- smoking the tyc's sounded awesome but i'd rather just risk a little light scatter and save the headache lol thanks for the reply

i wouldnt buy either of these... or basically any lights you see on ebay. They pretty much all suck, they fog, they hold water, you cant adjust at all, etc etc..

I had those black light, and they were terrible. its just not worth your time to take off the grille and change them, meanwhile they fog and you cant see a damn at night..

get some TYCs, sand the plastic lens with 400 then 600 grit, then mix clearcoat and black in a gun and shoot them that way.. looks 10000X nicer then that nightshade doo doo shit. or go have a shop do them for you, or send em to mee idc

I like the ones you linked to. New lights always make a huge difference.

thanks, my buddy has a similar headlight on his bronco(am i allowed to say that here? haha) with hids and he has a little light scatter but theyre still REALLY bright. Anythings better than mine. I can barely see without the brights now cause of those crappy halogen projectors fogging up
