Hey Folks,

I'm planning to take delivery of a 2018 LT Z71 tomorrow and want to make sure that I don't miss anything. I've already driven it about 15 miles around town and a short hop on the highway at around 70 MPH. Nothing out of the ordinary was happening, but I want to make sure that I don't have any of the wind buffetting issues.

Is the best thing to test this to go out on the interstate put the hammer down? What would you advise?

Regards,
Jack

My comment is in a general nature and you may have already done much it earlier. I would read the owner's manual and test EVERY feature including the cruise control any features that operate while at speed. Check the fluids too. Since it's new and under warranty, anything missed you can always take it back.

peeps who have issues see/feel them btwn 30-80mph for most part
cruise &/or accelerate withing these ranges

find some bumpy roads to drive down as well, test the suspension out a bit

The first thing I would do is check the air pressure, Always over-filled for transport from the factory.

Everything can be easily fixed EXCEPT buffering and vibration so focus on that.

Low speed around town (bad or dirt road if you can) for buffeting and booming. 80mph for a couple miles on the highway to check for vibration issues.

Good luck!

Did you order it custom or off the lot? Pricing better on an order if you did?
