Here is just a couple of pictures of the new truck. Or like my son called it, "old truck". I wasn't planning on posting any until I had it cleaned up, but since it won't stop raining here, I figured what the hell. It's in need of some good cosmetic love, but for the most part, the body is straight, and relatively rust free besides the bottom of the drivers door. It looks like the previous owner may have scraped it on something when opening it, and it chipped the paint, and caused a little surface rust. Nothing serious at all though, and easily fixed. The wife thinks it's ugly, which is great, because then she won't ask to drive it! Ha ha

Pretty clean yukon from what I can tell in the pictures.
Most of them that I see need some cosmetic attention if they have the original paint,
Nothing too big as long as the clear is still present.
Even mine has some chips missing here and there.

That's my favorite part about owning an old truck is that no one asks to borrow or drive it.

Thanks guys. Not bad for $1000 huh? Clear coat on the hood is having a rough time. But I intend to wrap it next summer. Never done a wrap, and I really like them. Came with a 3" cat-back with a magnaflow stuffed in too. Cat has been deleted, and a glass pack took its place. Sounds pretty decent considering it still has the over restricting factory y-pipe on it. But hell, I work in an exhaust shop, so that will change when I get around to it. All in all, I'm really happy with it

Good looking rig. My wife feels the same way. She was driving it for a while because the truck had the rear AC from the roof, which in AZ is a huge perk when you have little ones in rear facing car seats. Now that we got here something newer, every time she has to drive my Tahoe she lets me know how much she dis-likes it. Oh well :D

Are you talking vinyl wrap? Are you going to do a solid color? The paint on the hood and roof of mine is starting to fade. It spent the fist part of it's life in Northern AZ, and after a year down in Phoenix the aging of the paint has accelerated. Sun here isn't anything to mess with. I've been thinking of doing a wrap also. Actually thinking of starting by just doing the hood and roof, and doing them in a flat white. It would give the Limited a 2 tone look, and hopefully cut down on a little bit of the head radiating in to the cab from the roof :)

good start, needs wheels and tires. Are you going to build it as an off road or a street custom?
I'm just going to go all flat white. Im not much of a fan of the two tone like I used to be. And the trim has to go. And I don't really like chrome on my vehicles. Not that chrome looks bad, it's just not my style. I'll probably do a rear roll pan too.

It does need new wheels. Tires are 285/75R16 m/t already. Bars are cranked up to level. I haven't decided to go bigger yet. It's a primary daily driver. I don't need anything crazy, but I will make it look good eventually.
