Thanks for the advise guys. I will look at LMC and see what they have and if worse comes to worse I will replace the entire quarter. Two days in the driveway I have no issues with. I would like to do it faster but two back surgeries later I am pretty slow these days.

Which ever way I go I will do progress picks. Not going to happen until spring but it is good to plan and plan to be good.

id make a patch panel before i would replace a quarter panel. although there not hard to replace, theres a LOT of spot welds that need to be drilled out, a lot of time invested into doing soo. Its your ride, but id try and make a panel and see where it goes. the surface rust under the window isnt a big deal, its not rotted. either way replacing the quarter panel or fixing that window rust, the window WILL need to come out.

my 2cents

I am going to pull both side windows and the windshield this spring. The windshield needs to be replace anyway but I have to deal with the same issues on the right quarter window as well.

Have you seen it before where the paint just came off in chunks? It is like it was fractured. Every once in a while a new spot starts, the paint just lifts off the metal. I would like to make a patch panel but the rust has taken the gas door recessed lip as well and I would like to keep the gas door where it is so I am best to either replace the quarter or find the section I am lookin for and weld that in.

I havent seen that happen to GMs black paint, but it does happen to certain cars/years/ and the color. Just crappy adhesion or somehow water getting underneath.

It's acid rain.
Happens so much up here that we can file a claim with Vale Inco to have it repainted. Their superstack emits some pretty bad shit.
Your only four hours South of it.
It's actually pretty common in Ontario. My wife's Jimmy has it (I can take pics), and I've been thinking about putting in a claim this summer.
