Pieced together Big brake kit

Here's what I pieced together and ordered today for my 2019. I wanted drilled and slotted on all four, so that's why I skipped the OEM rotors. I'm $1745 into a front BBK and new rear rotors and pads. Have I missed anything other than fluid?

That seems like a great setup. Post pics when your done!

What’s the Tahoe have stock, 4 pistons? I never looked because I use mine as a family car I don’t mod it.

Its my understanding that unless its a PPV, they have 4 piston front calipers. My truck stops like crap. I miss my hydro boost from my Hummer!

I have a 2006 Yukon with a 14" Brembo GT kit with 4 piston calipers and 2 piece rotors. I am working on trying to find a solution for the rear. I think the Brembo calipers from the front of a Cobalt SS will work on the stock rotors. The pistons are small enough to not over power the front I think. I just need someone that can make the brackets. I did find someone on performancetrucks.net that made some brackets for his truck using Camaro SS Brembo calipers on 15" Baer rotors and 14" rear rotors with the Camaro rear calipers. That will also work but I would really rather find someone that can make the Cobalt calipers work. We could use the stock disc, the calipers are cheap and were designed to stop a much smaller vehicle than our SUVs. The calipers themselves are small and the 4 pistons are much smaller and would match up with the front. Also you can put Hydroboost on your truck. It's a common and popular swap. I can't express exactly how worthwhile it is.

I have Hydroboost on my Yukon and still did a BBK. I am very happy with how it brakes now, I really just want to swap out the rear calipers for the aesthetic value. Having Brembo calipers on the front and stock 2 piston calipers on the back isn't ideal. I really want Brembo calipers front and rear powder coated in blue similar to the ZR1 calipers with the slotted 2 piece rotors up front and slotted in the rear. I've replaced the 5.3 with a LQ9, I had to do it before I was able to swap the 243 heads, TBSs intake, swap the cam, and build the exhaust forward of the merge the way I wanted. Which sucked at first but now my plans might have changed. Now I think instead of swapping the heads to bump compression I will keep the 317s and put a slightly different cam, head gaskets, and head bolts so I can build a single turbo setup. And instead of a TBSS intake maybe a Shearer A2W IC on the Holley Hi Ram so the charge pipe is as short as possible for quicker spool up.

I'd still swap heads. The compression will help you low end and will not hurt the turbo any. If you're pulling the cam anyway, why not?
