To hook up to my headrest monitors (dealer option) I have to run RCA to the front of the screens. There's no hookup on the control box or anything. With a factory ceiling model, I'm not sure. Ask Crutchfield if it can be done, they're useful for info like that.

I know my 4000NEX has the RSE option which mine currenlty says is not enabled but I don't have RSE. I was just going off that.

Planning to put one in? I can give you a parts list and everything for it. If you have Bose, which type of amp you have will determine how it has to be wired.

We have an 08 tahoe Z71 with boss without nav. How do I know which amp I have ? Thinking we wired incorrectly because we have no sound coming from the rear speakers :(

I had nothing from the rear & had to use the additional harness for the rear speakers (green & purple wires i think)

I too had to cut out the plastic to get my setup to work in my '08 hybrid tahoe. I've got the same harness using a pioneer 8500bhs and my rear speakers have always been strange. One barely has sound out of it and if I press the power source on the 2nd row console the opposite 2nd row speaker turns on really loud. Then after 30 secs or so something in the rear makes a loud screeching noise for a few seconds then repeats every minute or so. I've landed on just mainly relying on the front speakers. Pretty strange. Steering, mirroring to head unit, 2nd row ceiling monitor (using dvd only) all work fine. May have wired the rear speakers incorrectly but am usually very careful and triple check things.

Let me know if you have any thoughts.

I ended up calling Metra and talking to their support people to get mine working. They were pretty good and knew what code to look for to know which amp I had to determine how to wire it. Works perfectly after that phone call.

If you have an 08 you have an analog amp. Metra told me only the Denali had a digital amp until 2012 or something like that, then the LTZ got it

Thank You. Also curious with your dual USB port you installed in the outlet, did you hook up both in the back of the stereo? Isn't one for Ipod? Is there a use for both? Can you charge with both?

They're both hooked in to the back of the stereo & both can charge. You have to pick android auto OR apple carplay in the settings, so mine is on Android Auto all the time with ny phone running that while my wife's iPhone is plugged into the other port just to charge. On the back of the headunit, one port is for Android & one is for Apple, so you gotta keep up with which is which. My phone will actually charge while navigating & playing music, but not at wall charger speeds
