So reading to many threads and not clear enough. Thought I would ask question in new thread. I am installing this stereo, have the swipass and gmos4 installing with it. I want to be able to have DVd playing and wondering where to attach park brake wire? Read that you can hook to mute wire?
Help?

Well I never hooked my pink speed sensor wire, apparently you don't have to?(something about it could slow down the system) I never hooked it up and it works just fine.

It is a dark green/white wire. I thought since the factory deck had the speed controlled volume, I would be fine tapping into one of dark green/white I found behind the radio. It doesn't appear to be working for me.

The other info I found shows it to be located in the ECM near the battery or near the brake booster (assuming you have cruise control). I haven't tried teither yet . I may end up just running a couple wires out to the ECM so as to hook up the reverse signal and VSS wire at the same place.

Well I found the VSS on the instrument cluster harness and tapped into it.
My other problem:
I moved the mute wire pin over in the harness as described in video but still cant access anythign when vehicle is moving??
I just took the parking brake wire and just grounded it maybe I still need to hook it up to the parking brake switch to work??

Mine override didn't work the first time either. I took the entire unit out and checked the pins. I don't know if it was a bad pin connection or if my tap into the ground wire was bad. I redid both and haven't had any problems since. I did decide to ground my parking brake wire separately near the parking brake in case I ever wanted it hooked up correctly without the override. I also figured this way, I would know for sure that wire was grounded and could test it without having to pull the unit out.

Pretty sure you don't hook up the pink wire... I'll confirm with my audio buddy though.

Yeh I was wrong - he says you have to use a relay for the pink one.
