I'm thinking of replacing my head unit with the Pioneer AVH-X3800HD. (DAB)
Anyone got any experience with it and can it totally mute the alarm chime?

ding ding ding....the one chiming for seatbelts and everything else.
I know IT can be adjust down and heard someone say totally mute IT AS well (?)

That all depends on what integration harness you use. I didn't use one at all. Just ran my own acc wire and boom, no chimes at all. But pac, metra, and scoshe all make modules, so look up on them and see which will allow you to turn the chimes down.

No radio will let you do that, only the harness

I have the 5500BHS and have no chime at all. Never really thought it came from the head unit, but also didn't care since it's annoying for short trips.
