I'm looking to upgrade my factory navigation radio to something with Apple Carplay, and I found the Pioneer DMH-WT3800NEX.

Crutchfield says the radio will not fit as it is about .3 inches too deep for the space in the dash. Sonic Electronix and Best Buy says it does fit, however.

Has anyone had any experience putting this radio or a similar one in their Yukon/Tahoe? Did it fit after all?

it is a single din "floater" which will fit, you might have to make a cut in the dash for depth which is not a big deal at all.
you might not like the floater screen though, to me they just don't look right.
I have not checked fitment for a floater myself, there is a small chance the shifter and screen edge will pretty close, the shifter arm will most likely obscure a portion of the upper left side of the screen from the drivers perspective

What behind the radio gets cut? Looks like to me that there are wires and things behind that bracket, so where would I cut?
