Has any one changed the pitman arm seal/ steering out put shaft seal ? I bought the kit from gates. And disassembled the arm from the box removed the outer dust seal cleaned with brake cleaner but could not find the ends of the snap ring to remove. Any tips out advice on fixing this leak ?

I haven't and am unfamiliar with this. Sorry, but I'm out on this one!
Maybe you could have a local parts store let you look at a clean reman'ed one to get a better idea?

Ditto! Haven't messed with pitman arms since... well... never I think. Had plenty of cars with them but never needed service unless my memory escapes me.
