are there any stock opening that are easy to get to to run some wire though? right now all i have is a small 14ish gauge wire but i'm also considering adding a sub later. i was hoping to skip drilling a hole but i kinda doubt i'll be able to do that.

under the dash is a relay center. if you remove the cover for the relay center and press the two white clips at the top together you can swing the relay center down toward the floor. behind it you will see a large rubber grommet you can run your wiring through.

That's where I ran my cable.

i ran mine through the floor just infront of the drivers seat. i have 6 runs of 1/0 gauge running through it so there is plenty of room

large grommet = "juicy grommet" on driver side firewall. easily visible from under hood. a grommet wire runner thing makes quick work of it....just stab the tool into the grommet then feed the wire thru the hole in the center of the tool then go into the truck and pull the slack. ive seen them up to 4 gauge, great investment for an installer.

Sorry if Im not supposed to talk in a thread this old, but is this on the drivers or passengers side? Where exactly under the dash is it?

drivers side foot well, lower left corner, but I would just run it thru the grommet that is already there for the main harness, make a cut in the rubber on the side and spray the wire with wd40 and push it thru a helper pulling on the other side makes it go a lot faster.
