Yes, I understand. And I'm glad you got them working. They look great!

I'm not so sure I'm willing to risk purchasing another kit just to take the chance that it MIGHT work. :(

Yeah. I really had no hope for them working and didn't even take the bumper off until I wired them up and saw that they were going to work.

I understand not wanting to buy another kit but it really is a big difference in output and then you have the possibility to do a retro still!

If I was sure I was experiencing the same issue you were, than I'd have no problem buying another kit and installing it. I just feel like it's a shot in the dark. Although, I REALLY want to do a retrofit! I'll have to think about it. I appreciate you posting in this thread with your problem, troubleshooting, and fix.

I've had two sets of Morimoto on the NNBS that worked flawlessly. My third set I put on my 15 Yukon (I just sold actually), had the same issue. Pulled the kit. In the process, one of the connectors on the black/red cable snapped off and lost the O ring to the HID bulb. TRS is sending a new connector and a new O Ring free of charge. I had troubleshooted the kit to death, testing each bulb and ballast on the "working" side. The only thing I never tested was the dual relay cubes and harness. I ordered a second one for $30, and still same issue. So I Was at a loss as I tested every component and STILL had the issue. By the time I asked them to return the second relay to get my $30 back, I Was out of their 45 day return window so now i'm stuck with two of them. I plan on putting this kit in my new 2010 Tahoe LTZ I just acquired so hopefully I have better luck on this truck..

So your kit on your '15 didn't work out of the box, either? Only the passenger side worked? It seems unlikely that three of us had the same problem and all were because of bad wiring like Mester320 found to be his problem, but I guess anything is possible. You'll have to keep us posted as to whether or not the kit works on your LTZ.

Not sure if it's bad wiring. I tried every component of the kit on the working passenger side and it all worked. Driver side just doesn't turn on for some reason. I've installed HID's in every vehicle I owned for almost a decade and never had this many issues... For sure will keep you posted!

So I did speak with TRS yesterday to let them know that I got my HIDs working with the replacement bulb wires they sent. When on the phone I asked them if there were others that complained of this issue and I also brought up the issues that you guys where having. They told me that there was a small batch of bulb wires that the connectors did not seat correctly and they were replacing them... I don't want to lead you to believe that bulb wires were your issue as well and have you waste money on another kit if they were not the culprit in your case.. Just figured I would let you know.

I wish I would've known this before I sold my kit. They may not have known about the bad wires back when I spoke to them, but if they did, they didn't mention it to me.

Yeah, sorry man. Know anyone with an old DDM kit that you could just give it a try? Or wait is "old DDM kit" and oxymoron.... just kidding.

Just call them and explain and see if they will waive their restocking fee if it doesn't work

Yeah, I'll have to give them a shout and see what they're willing to do for me.
