It seems pretty extravagant.... I had that all done to mine for about 8K and they disassembled, and body shop painted my front grill top and bottom, and fog light bezels as well. They sent my stock wheels out and had them gloss powder coated. They've held up very well. And they were only about a 100 a piece to coat.
I'm working on a list like that for my new incoming 25 but I'm. cutting down a lot of the things that I paid for previously some of them didn't turn out as good as I thought. and others were outright too expensive, and I can find them much cheaper after I get it home. It really depends on what convenience means to you. If you want to pick it up and everything is done, just go ahead and pay them and move on. if you're willing to pick and choose and leave your car for a few days at two or three places, you can probably beat those prices hands down.

I second this, I think PPF specifically requires any ceramic coating/wax is to be removed prior to install.

This quote seems a bit much… a lot of things look like “wants” more than needs. I am highly skeptical of interior protection (#2) as you are likely not going to scratch the inside for several years. By the time you have scratches the coverage is either void because you failed to spray something down correctly or you forget you have the coverage.

I had my 4Runner for over a decade since new and only ever hand washed it with a twice a year clay bar and wax application. I did 2 or 3 iron decontaminations over that time frame. Regular rinses in the winter at the self wash bay (no brushes or soaps) and 2-3 max hand washes per month in the warmer months.

Paint still looked new since day one when I traded in last spring.

Best thing you can do: avoid parking under sappy trees, park way out in the middle of nowhere in parking lots, don’t drive behind dump trucks, and wipe off bugs at the end of the day when you’re on your road trip (I carry a quick rinse and a few microfibres for this).

That’s really all people should need to do.

Or, one can pay $6,000 on all the paint protection stuff, and still need to do everything outlined above lol.

I used to run the Nevada market for XPEL - the PPF pricing is ridiculous. A full front end shouldn't be more than $2k, and even that is super high for some markets. Headlights are about $5 worth of film and take 5 minutes to install, so $250 per is ridiculous. The PPF on the interior is equally as inexpensive and easy/fast to install, $400 is a joke.

They also aren't going to do 4 layers of ceramic. That's ridiculous to even say, and XPEL doesn't recommend or require more than one layer. For $2k, if they are doing full paint prep on the whole truck, that isn't terrible. The entire vehicle needs to be polished perfectly, even if it's new, in order for the ceramic to look good.

Gloss black lug nut sets are like $30, and they have to install lug nuts when they put your wheels back on anyways. I'm not sure what "painting" wheels gloss black means, but don't paint them - hopefully they mean powder coat. You can get 4 wheels powder coated for under $1,000 just about anywhere in the country.

Long story short, this is about double of what it should be for everything except the ceramic if they are doing a full paint correction first. If they are just applying it with no correction, then it shouldn't be more than about $750, but it will look like crap.
