I am aware, I have a Vortec swapped 95. I didn't catch that in your first post.
A vortec swap will wake it up. Free TBI mods, a bigger TBI, more fule pressure with a chip will make a difference. Headers and an upgraded Y pipe would be good too. Efans and other bolt ons are nice too.

I use a manly MSD system that includes the control box, ignition coil, distributor, cap and rotor. Mind you this is a vortec but you should be able to add it the TBI as well.
