This is covered alot I know. Im looking to buy but have seen some say delphi coil and some say melcon I think it is. Does it matter what i get. Im looking at the 748 gg on ebay.

The differences between the two coil types is the length of the plug wires.

I think I bought the wrong ones when I did mine, and they were a little long, but nothing to worry about. What I don't know is if you get the short wires for the long wired coils if the wires would be to short. Auto zone lead me astray by saying there was no differences.

will it say on the coil what I have. Also what package does the 130a alt come with

MSD makes good stuff, they're available off summitracing.com and jegs for a good price iirc. I did mine with the longtube install and they're a quality product

Go to a junkyard and get some stock ones then, the oems rarely have issues I just bought them for the thermally protective attributes due to the aftermarket headers.

$72 isn't much but good insurance in the scheme of things, the MSDs are a worthwhile investment :shrug:
