300-400 idling after a drive? That's quite cool in my experience.

Very cool after a drive.

My cats used to read 900-1300 while driving and 500-700 after idling for an extended period of time post driving.

Now my cats, well, they do not exist.

Well they do but they are in a box.... in my shed.... they run really cool now.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking, remember that time we were comparing temps? The Magnaflow cats run even a little hotter and when they wear out, they will likely get hollowed out! VROOM! VROOM! I'll have to add some Dynamat under the front row and firewall from what you're telling me! Or bigger speakers! LOL

It's not so much louder under the seats but definitely louder out back.

Yes idling after a drive, someone stated they should be 5-600 degrees. What would cause them to go out with under 2k miles tho?

Hotter than that. Ken and I recorded between 700-800 while idling before. Fuel, oil and coolant can contaminate them. But so can adhesives, like RTV or whatever someone might use to seal a gasket that gets ingested by the intake or exhaust system. These will also usually foul the O2 sensors too. They can fail if they were struck and damaged by road debris or are just cheap Chinese garbage too.
