Polish Mag wheels

Whats up guys need tips on how to polish mag wheels because the factory that came on my 99 z71 starting to look bad because salt got under clear coat should i try to refinish them or just buy new wheels was also thinking about painting them. thanks

Ill tell you what I painted the wheels on my last car.All duplicolor sparay paint and etch primer.sanded then 3 coats prime,3 coats paint,3 coats clear coat.It started chipping in 4 months.Not alot but enough to know its not gonna be long before youre doing it again which is a pita.Im gonna need wheels too because mine are starting to also look bad from the harsh ny winters.Ill prolly pick up a set on craiglist.
