I will be attending a Blackbear Tuning meet in the beginning of April. I'm trying to decide between the two options. Is the higher octane tune worth the extra 20 to 25 cents per gallon to run premium fuel? I would like to hear from the NBS guys but the NNBS owners can chime in as well ;)

Thanks in advance

I'm sure to s will agree that the only reason to get a tune <93 would be because of availability... For instance many places near you run 91/89/87 whatever it may be... I got my bb tune in June this past year it 3 weeks prior to the tune I ran only 93octane with only a aftermarket CAI and I was able to tell a difference in how it felt giddier and better running after the tune.... Forget about it! Things a monster 93 is worth every penny to me especially since I paid 250 for a quality in person urine... Also justin and Jenna told me there able to offer more with the 93 they made my tow haul a sport button preset to the vette servo mod for when i get that done.. Let me tell you its pretty freaking sweet hahaha

hope I helped a bit on your decision

Aren't you supposed to be running premium already with the 6.0?

If you are doing the tune for performance then without a doubt get the 93 tune. Definitely worth the extra $5 per tank for the extra hp.

Not sure what truck you have but Justin told me on a 6.2L engine, 93 octane is a necessity. I think it's definitely worth $5 a tank to have the peace of mind knowing you're getting the best for your truck.

the lq9 requires 93 stock, but the lq4s have lower compression and can run off 87 stock. 6.2 is prob the same as lq9

Thanks for all the insight and the the 'push' towards 93 :D

You don't 'have' to......the tune would mostly be for performance with some towing of a 17ft fishing boat during the summer....

Yeah Chris I know how ya feel ;) Just wanted to see what the others thought.........

93 all the way bro

Kinda lookin' that way

I have the 6.0 in my Denali. I do agree with you as well about the peace of mind.

Thanks for clarifying that for the members.
