I noticed that when I am backing up my 2001 Denali & turning the steering wheel (either right or left) my truck starts to "bind up". Almost like a notchy type feeling when backing. Like if I took a stick and moved it along a picket fence but slowly. I noticed it on my old Jeep Wrangler when it was in 4WD & taking a tight turn. So I thought it was just because of the AWD. But I talked with my brother (he has a 2002 Denali) and his truck does not do what mine is doing.
So, just wondering if you guys had any ideas on what it could be. I'm thinking the gears are binding up & the differentials will need a rebuild. But is it weird that it only happens in reverse & turning the steering wheel?
