possible to wire a 12 where the stock 8 is?

Cool. Glad it worked out for you. I doubt it would damage the factory amp. Might fry the sub by not having enough power but that's it.

You would be better off if your sub was atleast 2 ohms or wired to 2 ohms... At 4 ohms your only getting half power from the amp.

So is your sub under the front console or in the cargo area? If it's up front would there be enough room to replace it with a 10"? I've never looked at it. Thanks.

Sorry I missed this... With that sub it's just a single 4ohms so your stuck with that impedance...

He isn't actually replacing it in the stock location, he is just wiring one up to the stock amp basically. His is in the rear cargo area. As for up front, either build from scratch like I did. Or buy a stealth box to fit inside.

The front is a 6.5 and not worth replacing lol
