2008 Tahoe; High pressure ps line is seeping a little, fluid is original and has an odor and I get an intermittent odor from the area lately so the plan is to swap out the line(s) and put in new fluid. I am assuming a flush is in order.
I presume the flushing should be after replacing the line, right?

I got under there and access seems a bit tight without kids hands.
Is it difficult to contain the mess?
Is this job enough of a PIA to have it done? They would probably not use OEM parts due to delivery time if that matters.

Yeah it's a bit tight on the back side of the pump.

Mine wasn't leaking, but when I dropped the front differential to get the oil pan off..... There's all kinds of room.... And figured I better do it then!

The big concern in trying to do it with everything in the way, especially on a 17 year old vehicle, is getting your wrench squarely on the fitting so you don't round it off.

Give it a day or so and a few will post here on shortcuts they used.

I suspect if you lower the driver side of the differential, by removing that one crossmember and the rear mount, then just loosening the driver side mount..... It's a long bolt and will give you a couple inches.... That might be a big help.
