Probably because it isn't used as much as the driver side so it doesn't stay loose, or maybe gunk builds up due to not being used as much..Haven't messed with it (winter time)
But my first trial and error I was gonna remove the stripping and see if there was binding.
Still doesn't make sense why only the passenger side.
Factory defect ?
A Chevy defect. Had an HHR that had the same issue. The silicone spray was their remedy.Haven't messed with it (winter time)

Ummmm...completely different mechanisms. Unless you're saying an HHR uses the exact same window and regulator?A Chevy defect. Had an HHR that had the same issue. The silicone spray was their remedy.
The weatherstrip issue not the regulator and motor. Go back and read my previous post for contextUmmmm...completely different mechanisms. Unless you're saying an HHR uses the exact same window and regulator?
I see. You're saying you think the weatherstrip itself is defective and causing enough pressure on the glass to bind. But that doesn't explain why it only does it on the passenger side. You didn't explain why the same weatherstrip in one location causes binding while in other places it doesn't. I was thinking the channel it sits in might be squeezing it on that side, so I couldn't understand why it would be the same in an HHR. Still don't.The weatherstrip issue not the regulator and motor.
