Hello gang,

I have a? Our 2016 Yukon Denali has the powered running boards that I don’t like ‍♂️
Anyhoo, the driver side one is making a loud grinding type noise. I went and high pressure washed them and once dry I lubricated it and still making the noise. And I pulled the fuse out with the boards extended.
And now I’m researching on the repair or replacement.
Thanks for any info

I replaced the motor on mine .. drivers side and good that you have them extended so easy to get the 4-5 bolts that go straight up. remove the complete assembly Hardest part was getting wiring harness plugs separated been good for 6 months.
New motor went right back in side step complete back and no programming needed !!

When we got ours the boards were out and not moving. Replaced the motor assemblies on both and they're good again.
Yes the plugs were the hardest part. Leave it to GM to face the release tabs up with no slack in the wires to get to them. Then use those stupid lock tabs that are impossible to remove once there's the typical under body dirt in them.

Got mine on ebay. Unless you go factory they're probably all from the same supplier so it comes down to price. They all look identical.
