I always heard that they didn't come with hitches, too, but when I was looking for our current ride, pretty much all of the NNBS PPV Tahoes I was looking at had receivers on them. I'll try to have a look at ours this weekend to see if there are any manufacturer decals on it, but it really does look factory. So does the light connector by it.

I'm almost positive that none of the NBS PPV Tahoes came with one, and perhaps that's where that inference comes from, I really don't know. I'm not even sure that GM ever offered a receiver on one, but don't know for certain. I didn't look at those much, as the search for the replacement for my wife's DD didn't start until the NNBS vehicles started getting retired from service.

While at a higher rate, the slightly shorter compression length could cause the bump stop to ride on the axle with a lot of tongue weight, so I wouldn't be surprised if someone who actually towed with one added bags.

While more than a 2/3" drop would look better, you really start to mess with the geometry, especially in the rear with much more. Any more than that, and I'd feel compelled to relocate the rear control arm frame mounts, but that's just me.

Maybe the newer model PPVs are being equipped with hitches now. It could also be a department issue to, I guess. I know the PPVs around here do not have any hitches.

I found mine hitch on carparts, paid just at 200 for it shipped to my door. They are referred to as rebars, not sure why. Something doesn't seem right about the curt hitch.
I'm not quite sure I'd trust it towing 6k pounds.

From what I understand, the PPVs come with a 2/2 drop, correct?
I'd want more than a 2/3, especially if PPVs already come with a 2/2 drop.

From the research I've done the only hitch in the factory location was provided by GM.
Any others don't mount in the same location, like in that video clean posted.
I'm not sure about NBS if they had them or not.
Mine also had the harness for the trailer to.

You would have to do the free travel mod to prevent any bump stop to axle contact.
Yes, I agree. If they did tow with it, bags are a must.

I also agree about relocating the frame mounts.
Tony offers a kit to relocate the rear axle mounts.
I saw a build where I guy did just that. Factory 4 link truck, lowered it and relocated all mounts to accommodate his drop.
