Hey everyone,

I have a locking chrome gas cover similar to this:
https://www.amazon.com/Bully-GD-102CK-Chrome-Fuel-Door/dp/B001P2EYHC

It's not the exact one but close enough. I have had it for years but every Winter the lock seems to freeze. I use a hair dryer to get it unfrozen when this happens but is there a way to prevent it from freezing in the first place? The key goes in fine but just won't turn at all. Is WD-40 or something else the answer?

i have a locking cap, but not the door. even the cap seems to freeze on occasion. i keep a can of lock deicer in the truck, that stuff does work. and then i periodically spray silicone or wd into the keyhole.
