Looking to sell my 2012 Yukon SLT 4x4. Wanting to get some opinions from you guys. I’m the second owner and it has a little over 78,000 miles. All stock except 22” Cadillac wheels, all exterior LED lights, Denali grille set and I took some of the emblems off. I have the stock 17” wheels and even the original manual, sales brochure and window sticker. Exterior and interior are 9/10 I’d say with two tiny dings on the passenger front and rear doors. Has sunroof, leather, captains chairs, no navigation and HD towing package. KBB says private party is upwards of $24k. Anyone think I could get that?

With what I’m seeing vehicles near me (Eastern Iowa) priced at, I don’t think $24K is out of line.

If you advertise with a service like TRED that goes to all 48 states, absolutely. The white, full-size SUV's get a higher resale because they're 10-20* cooler in the sun. Even peeps from Cali would fly out to grab it knowing it runs on flex fuel. It's $3.20 a gallon vs. almost $7.00 for 91 in the Golden State. That's $83 vs $162 fill up for e85 vs 91.

We sold our 08 YXL Denali AWD back in Feb '20 during Covid when the DMV was closed to a lady from Vegas. TRED made it so the buyer paid them through escrow, they did all the DMV ppwk then EFT my checking account in 72 hours. One test drive then I gave them the keys when the full offer was paid to TRED. ZERO risk. It cost me $149.00 total to use their service. I spent over $2k to prep it for top dollar including a respray of the hood and part of the roof due to failing clear coat. It took a color sand to get the paint as nice as yours though. Plus TRED offers the buyers service contracts (warranty) through Ally (GM). Not a bad deal for the buyer to get a warranty on a pre-owned, private party vehicle with all the profit going to you vs. the dealer.

The dealers offered 7-$8k. I got $12.5k. All the spam offers were filtered out. It only took two offers in less than 60 days. If I would of waited another 6 months I could of gotten another 5-$8K due to the upcoming car shortage. I sold it specifically to get a flex fuel 09 L9H truck.

This was a $12.5K truck back in Feb 2020 in Cali. Now it's a 20-$24K truck (140K mi). I originally listed it for $17.5K and gradually lowered it. The buyer said they only bought it because they were afraid someone else would grab it. They were lurking on it since it was listed for full price and she even said that she was ready to pay full price if I had not lowered it. 45-60 days is the magic number just like the dealership have to deal with. If you don't use a private selling site even dealers will low ball pretend to be Joe customer hoping to get lucky by torturing you with the grind.

The lost profit by Not waiting to sell was offset by the fact that the 09 L9H we found in TX with 120K miles was only $14K during COVID freak out. Your truck has huge appeal. Hold fast!

incorrect just have the windows cracked about 2 inches makes that not relevant..

source i live in the desert..

also btw the car market has all ready had the rug pulled out from under it a GMT800 can be bought for under 5-6k which tend to be far more reliable anyways

I don’t know why you would ask “should I sell my truck for less?” Which is essentially what you are saying here. Unless you really don’t care about money or really don’t want the hassle of selling yourself, why would you not do what wll yield you the greatest profit?

That's a solution, just different one and you would probably take offense if I said the same for what works for you.

Nothing wrong with leaving the windows open 2" unless one of those famous desert storms dumps and you're not in a structure. I'm referring to Vegas. There are (very expensive) things kept in my vehicle occasionally when we go to the desert. I wouldn't give a 1" opening to keep them cool, especially Vegas.

Again, I came from an NBS and agree on its build quality and reliability. Few in this GMT900 would disagree. It doesn't make everyone else in the forum incorrect. A lot has changed in CA in 50 years. To manage $6.50 gal 91 fuel, a NNBS that runs e85 for half price outweighs running the 4 Speed and 6.0L of our 06 YXL, even on 87 fuel.

Just trying to help a guy get a fair shake at selling his GMT900, that's all. If some fool in CA wants to save 8-$10K and drive across the US to get a rust free truck instead of buying local 4th or 5th owner junk, that's their business.

NBS has flex fuel also with an actual physical ethanol sensor...

GMT900 uses a "virtual sensor" calculation which causes issues at random...
