Started Tuesday morning. Was driving about 40 mph and all of a sudden felt like the truck wasn't getting enough gas to it/gear felt like it slipped half a gear or something...I didn't lose any power there is no grinding sound like there was when my trans went out 2 years ago I replaced fuel filter and pump last summer so what can it be? It only happens when I am past 40 mph gets worse as I approach 50 or so and just stays that way every few seconds when I am above 40 mph...I ran damn near all gas out of it thinking since I had gone to a different gas station than I usually do maybe I had gotten bad gas. Bad time to have a problem with my truck with christmas just around corner just want to get it fixed before it gets worse.

It also kind of shudders when it does it...like something is loose or the gas isn't getting all the way to the engine or something. Seems to me it takes longer to shift to 2nd gear than usual....maybe its just me..I don't know.

While still doing you gas thing depress the brake a little bit to make your brake lights come on. Does the problem persist? If so you can try replacing your brake switch But I am inclined to think something is wrong with the Throttle Position Sensor if you are getting delayed shifts.

I just took it to the shop he drove it and did the diagnostic thing on it and it is telling him one of the pistons is misfiring he said he is going to price things for it because he isn't sure how much it would cost.He said the spark plug wires etc are the originals so more than likely need replaced.

If it is bucking from a misfire and you want to go cheap for now and a wire is actually damaged just get a cheap set and use just one wire for the fix. Or just get what he reccomends and hope he is right and do it yourself with perhaps better parts and perhaps cheaper. ACdelco stuff is cheap at amazon.
