Hello, a few weeks ago I replaced the fuel pump in my wife's 03 Tahoe. Once complete I found that the gas gauge was showing a full tank (I assure you it was not full when I put it back in) and now the Check engine light is on due to an Evap code.(can't remenber the exact one.

Anyone got any Ideas.

I assume that the fuel pump you put in was brand new but what one did you go with? Aftermarket or OEM?
For the gauge problem, try getting under the truck and smacking on the fuel tank to see if you can unstick the sending unit arm!!

It was a new BOSCH pump. The gauge has moved since but it is never accurate.

My biggest concern is the Check Engine light. What could I have done that would cause eavp errors?

FIgured out the check engine light as I had broken off a nipple from the Evap Canister when removing the tank. What is strange is it seems that the Gas Guage is going backward. Moves to Empty when I fill it up and the guage moves to full as the tank empties. Any Ideas?

I had my fuel pump replaced recently and my gas gauge was messed up too, but I had an Airtex pump which are crap! I have an AcDelco now and no issues!
