Has anyone else experienced either of these problems. I have a 97 yukon and when the gas tank hits 1/4 tank or below it stalls out when I come to a stop. When I put more gas back in it doesn't do it anymore. I kinda think it might be the fuel pump overheating but not sure.
Next iwas wondering why when I take off from a start and punch it (which I don't do very often) The engine revs like I'm going fast but I'm actually moving like a snail. It doesn't actually accelerate decent until I let off the pedal and let it shift into 2nd.
any replies are appreciated.
Thanks

Sounds like a faulty fuel pump. A lot of people try to keep their tanks above 1/4 for the reason that the pump is cooled by the existing fuel.

As for the high revving snail action in first gear, could be dealing with transmission issues (maybe slipping due to bad fluid, clutch packs, etc.) Can't say for sure though, check the quality of the tranny fluid and take it from there.

Oh yeah, see if your throwing any codes as well. That could help.
