I have a 2019 Tahoe Lt that uses a key to start NOT the push button. The Tahoe only came with one remote, so I ordered one from Amazon. The book has instructions on how to program the push start remotes, but not the key start. I have an Autel MX808 scan tool that I can put the Tahoe into remote learn mode, but then the Autel says to push and lock/unlock buttons at same time for a few seconds until it beeps and is programmed. Mine never beeps or changes anything on the DIC. I’m wondering if maybe the remote I got is bad or if the Autel instructions are incorrect. Does anybody have experience with programming remotes using a scan tool?

Found this on line hope it helps. No scan tool is mentioned. I just searched for 2019 Tahoe with key start.

insert the physical key into the driver's door lock, turn it to the unlock position multiple times within a specific timeframe, which will put the vehicle into "learning mode," then press the buttons on the key fob you want to program to register it with the car;

Not unusual for you to have fob programming issues, as many folks do. When I had trouble programming a new fob, I took the truck and fobS to my local locksmith, and for $25, he programmed the fobS to the truck.
