I am considering buying my first set of projector headlights for better visibility. Does anyone have any regrets?

My regret is not doing a true HID RETROFIT with the first set of headlights I swapped in. I went with similar halo ring housings for my Denali. Most of these aftermarket housings have cheap plastic projector lenses that aren’t any better quality than the OEM projectors, a lot of them have H1 style bulbs built into the housing that you can’t change, such as the ones I first went with. and the ones that have 9005 or H11 style bulbs, most guys will throw cheap LED bulbs in them that just scatter the light band terribly and don’t work effectively. If you’re trying to go LED low and high beam bulbs you will need a projector lens designed to take an LED. Some of the housings now come pre built with better projectors that run LED or HID but they’re pricey and for the price I think it’s still better to do a projector retrofit.

I am also in the market for aftermarket projectors as my current aftermarket headlights are beginning to crack and yellow (DNA Motoring). They lasted about 3 years and for the $128 I paid for them I think that's acceptable, so no regrets but I don't think I will go with the same model again. Currently looking at the AKKON and Spec Ds but like Chase mentioned, you need to look into them because you may be getting crappy "fauxjectors". I'd take a stab at a retrofit if I hadn't disposed of my factory headlights, live and learn I suppose.

those look like some I tried once, they did not work very well AT ALL
in my opinion you are better off going with a stock style CLEAR housing and HID's the output is fantastic especially if you add some good fog's
and aim everything properly.

I retrofitted a set of anzo U bar housings since they run identical to OEM projectors and I was surprised at how easy the retrofit was. But all in I spent a lot on that mod haha.
