So I tried a few wedge type (194) LED's in the puddle lights of my 2008 Tahoe. The first set I purchased at Superbright LED's [ 4 LED wedge base rated at 15 lumens] The second and third LED's I purchased at iJDMToy.com [#2 360 degree 13-SMD 1210 T10 LED] [#3 Side shine 6-SMD 5050 T10 LED] I really like the side shine. Very bright easy to install. You place a small screw driver in the small gap in the housing and gently push up and towards the vehicle to remove the light housing. You can see in the picture the clip that holds it in. The other side of the housing has a pin the is inserted first on reinstallation. The housing is screwed off the wired base to expose the bulb socket. There is an O-ring between the two units so be careful when separating. Pull the old bulb out install LED. Reinstall cover. Insert back pin first then swing the cover into place and it will click back in position.

The pictures didn't really give a good representation of the light improvement so I did not post. I tried a couple of different ways. Sorry
