install some silvania ultra night stars. he will pull you over again cause they look very similar.

HIDs that are not oem are illegal. Simple as that.
Is it worth it to keep them in?- That's up to you and how much you're willing to fork out for tickets.

i wont change my hids for anything..crusing 80 through nebraska with hid lows and fogs, i can see forever...ill gladly risk a few hundred dollar ticket from a trooper to be able to see in front of me and not hit anything..ive never been flashed..aim them to the right and down and you are fine..**** ****** halogen bulbs or 400 dollar "legal" hids..ill spend a few hundred on a retro fit before i buy anything else, and thats still illegal

you can change the headlight housings. ive done this with my 89 sierra and i never had any problems running hids or on coming drivers

those still arnt legal for a HID bulb..technically..plus those obs projectors suck dick for output with a hid...i had them on my bagged truck and it was miserable..had a nice cutoff line and didnt glare, but it wasnt much brighter then a halogen at that point
Sounds like your being the "DICK." You broke the law, got caught, and want to continue to break the law? Especially after getting a warning. He was probably being a dick because he caught you head on and was seeing spots, thanks to your lights. I'll bet you never had your lights readjusted after the install.
I'm tired of hearing people whine about how they are treated by LEOs. We are nothing but nice, it's having to constantly deal with dumba**es that get us worked up. You were probably being a smarta** anyways.
I like your post trying to justify something, "Had my HIDs for a year and finally got pulled over." Soounds like you're bucking the system and just waiting to get into an altercation with law enforcement. When they have to tase you, I hope someone puts it on Youtube or it's in front of his cruiser cam, so I can laugh at how you pee your pants and flop on the ground like a fish out of water.
