I have a 2000 Yukon xl 2500. I was wanting to mount a pusher fan to help the ac when sitting still. The problem is the core support is about an inch from the condenser.
I have seached all the forum and cant find what anyone else did to put a pusher fan in. Is it possible?

I was going to do that. I read on here and other forums that while towing you can over heat the transmission because airflow not flowing through the transmission cooler when the fans aren't running.

the OEM clutch fans doesn't do anything either just running down the road, it engages when it senses the hot air. it comes on at a certain temp and goes off. Dual Efans will pull more air, come on at preset temp and go off when not needed. when you turn the ac on the fans come on automatically.

If you are worried about overheating the tranny, try upgrading the trans cooler (if you even have one)! I upgraded the tiny stock one with the biggest one I could fit in the front and boy oh boy did that make a huge difference!! Also highly recommend adding OEM electric fans as well, both were money well spent for me and I do alot of towing!

I don't know what brand I had put in, I was working out of town at the time and had a local shop put something like this in:

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/bmm-70266

Can't remember what size of one is in our denali right now, but I told the guy to put the biggest one in there that he could and he pretty much did! Made a huge difference in everyday DD temps as well as towing temps, very much recommended!

tru cool max is what everyone runs for trans coolers. google will find tons of installs of them. oregon performance has them on their website for $135.99 which is way better price than that $230 piece of summit garbage linked earlier. a guy on performance trucks has a full install kit for that cooler that includes brackets and fittings that is worth every penny. http://www.performancetrucks.net/fo...nstall-kit-brackets-fittings-hardware-508374/

then get rid of your clutch fan and do the 05+ efans. searching that will also find tons of information. you will need a wiring harness for them and a tune to activate the pins on your ecm.

then go ahead and ignore every other response that has been posted because as usual they are all completely worthless and provide no real information that's helpful.

livingez_123 Did you mount this in the factory location?

imi4tth3w I think im going to do the 05+ efan. I think the factory clutch fan is going out or its getting weak. today the temp climbed above the 210 mark, not in the red, but still had me worried. The transmission temp was steady at 200 no matter if in traffic or on the highway.
