Q: What is this behind the grille, how do I paint it?

Howdy! Check out this picture:

Notice the stainless steel-looking diagonal support bars that are lateral of the GMC emblem. Is anyone able to tell me what these are, and how I can go about painting them? Can they be removed? Will they get too hot for certain paints? Just looking for suggestions. I would do a matte black.

Thanks for the help, as always!

Pull the grille off and paint them. Not sure what they are since I don't rock one but if your scared of heat then get some high temp paint

Yeah pull the grill shell off two top two buttom and tabs and a clip on either side. You gotta remove the plastic cover on top first.

I doubt it'd get hot from anything. On mine it's just a brace that basically holds up my hood latch and something else that I can't recall

Thanks for the info guys! I honestly never noticed them until a while back, and think perhaps they ended up being cleaned during a power wash, thus shining like its cool. Might clean 'em off all the way and see what it looks like then go at it. Think black rustoleum would do it? I've got plenty of that...
