Hey guys...just curious about the best modification or replacement to add some low end torque to the 5.7. I know she's got a pretty good amount just from the stock engine...but cant hurt to add some more.
Can someone point me in the right direction please.
Thanks so much!

What are you doing requiring low end torque? Jumping your gears will help but also hurt the mpgs if your worried about it. Basically any mod is going to help greatly with hp and toque combined, like headers and a freeflowing exhaust, or a simple CAI, or electric fans..

Putting a BBC will make it one hell of a torquey ***** if you like those haha.

If you added larger tires gears is where I'd start. I went from 235/75-15s to 305/40-22s on my 2wd 99 Tahoe, which is about 10% larger so I'm gonna take out the 3.73 gears & install some 4.10 gears with an Eaton Truetrac soon.

So what exactly is a BBC? Thanks for the advice...still a novice in the Tahoe world. :)
If I go with headers...short ones or long ones?

Big block chevy. 454 swap for all the torque you want.

Headers are going to help with horsepower, but if you need torque there isn't much you can bolt onto the engine that is going to make a huge difference.

I'd go with a stroker kit and a better cam if you need the torque.
