I have a 04 Denali. My rear wiper went out (or so I thought). I got a new motor and swapped it out and still doesn't work. The water still sprays but the motor won't try to run. I'm guessing it's a grounding issue. My question is if I want to try and run a new ground wire do I need to run it from the original grounding connection on the motor or can I find a place on the bracket somewhere? So example, can I run a ground wire from somewhere on my lift gate to the chassis of the wiper motor and be an effective ground? Or do I need to actually run the ground wire into the actual grounding connection on the harness and then find a grounding place on my lift gate? not much for electrical so I appreciate any help.

In my own experience I had to trace the ground from the drivers side fog light up to the rear wiper/washer motor. After replacing it's ground wire I was able to once again use my rear wiper and fog lights. Are you also experiencing any issue when using your fogs?

fog lights work good. just the wiper motor is the only issue I have on the vehicle, aside from needing to get new tire pressure monitor sensors.

Before anything else confirm the voltage to the wiring harness you're plugging the motor to (if you haven't already). You can touch your voltmeter to any silver screw on that gate as it should be grounded. Hmm, re-check the fuse as well. It wouldn't be impossible to have gotten a faulty replacement motor so if worse get's worse try connecting leads direct to your batt and see if the replacement motor activates.

Have 4 working TPMS from an 05 Escalade I'd let go for $20 + S&H.

I'll try the voltage tomorrow, when I have daylight. I did check the fuse about a month ago and even swapped it out just in case (the very top fuse on the inside driver side panel). that would suck if I got a faulty motor but def possible.

As for your sensors...I'm definitely interested although due to scheduling of checks this month I need to wait until 11-20 to purchase. If you want to PM me I can paypal you or if you have a better idea? No issues with the batteries on them?

I'm having a problem with my rear wiper motor too. I does not work when connected to the harness, but if I plug it to the harness and touch the door for grounding it works fine. Let me know what works for you.

Monewill2003 - The Bermuda Blue on the rims is hurtin' feelings. Can you elaborate on how you got it to stick to chrome? Looking to paint the rims, grill, bug, bull, vents, steps, trim and rear vents to start.
