I have a 04 Denali. My rear wiper went out (or so I thought). I got a new motor and swapped it out and still doesn't work. The water still sprays but the motor won't try to run. I'm guessing it's a grounding issue. My question is if I want to try and run a new ground wire do I need to run it from the original grounding connection on the motor or can I find a place on the bracket somewhere? So example, can I run a ground wire from somewhere on my lift gate to the chassis of the wiper motor and be an effective ground? Or do I need to actually run the ground wire into the actual grounding connection on the harness and then find a grounding place on my lift gate? not much for electrical so I appreciate any help.
